Lendbook

Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Lendbook's personal debt records, bank-loan tracking, calculators, PDF exports, offline synchronization, and reminder drafts. Effective date: 18 October 2026.

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using Lendbook, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Lendbook is a personal record-keeping tool and does not provide, arrange, service, or collect loans.

1. About Lendbook

Lendbook ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is developed and managed by Shivanshika Innovations. It helps you privately record money you have lent or borrowed, track personal repayments and bank-loan progress, run simple-interest, compound-interest, and EMI calculations, export records, and prepare reminder drafts.

We are not a bank, lender, loan marketplace, payment processor, debt collector, credit bureau, or financial adviser. We do not provide, arrange, approve, guarantee, service, or collect loans. The App does not transfer money or make a debt legally enforceable.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms. You may use the App only where its use is lawful.

3. Your account

You sign in using a supported Google account. You are responsible for keeping your Google account and device secure, all activity through your Lendbook account, providing accurate account information, and promptly notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Do not share account access with anyone who is not authorized to view the personal and financial records stored in it.

4. Your records and responsibilities

You control the information you add to Lendbook and are responsible for its accuracy, legality, and continued relevance.

If you add information about a borrower, lender, or another person, you confirm that you have a lawful reason and any notice or consent required to collect, store, synchronize, and use that information. You must not use contact information obtained through the App for spam, harassment, intimidation, or unlawful collection activity.

You remain responsible for independently verifying balances, repayment history, accrued interest, dates, taxes, and legal obligations. Keep any original agreements, receipts, and evidence required for your records; Lendbook is not a substitute for them.

5. Interest calculations and financial information

Calculations depend on the principal, interest method, rate, dates, repayments, and other information you enter. They may involve rounding and may not reflect local lending laws, contractual rules, taxes, fees, court orders, or professional accounting standards.

Amounts, calculators, bank-loan projections, principal and interest splits, estimated end dates, and summaries shown in the App are informational estimates. They are not lender statements, financial advice, or legal determinations. Flexible rates, missed or additional EMIs, fees, rounding, and lender-specific methods may produce different results. Your lender's current statement is the source of truth for a bank loan.

You are responsible for ensuring that any lending arrangement, interest rate, fee, reminder, and collection activity complies with applicable law. Lendbook's availability does not authorize you to lend money or charge interest in any jurisdiction.

6. Reminders and external messaging

Lendbook may prepare reminder text and open SMS or WhatsApp when you choose. Lendbook does not currently send automatic or server-side reminders. You review and send the message in the external app. You are responsible for:

  • confirming the recipient, number, and message before sending;
  • having permission to contact the recipient;
  • complying with communications, anti-spam, consumer-protection, lending, and debt-collection laws; and
  • any carrier, messaging, or service-provider charges.

Delivery is not guaranteed. External services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Offline use and synchronization

The App may cache synchronized records and queue changes in encrypted app-managed storage on your device. Offline changes can be delayed, duplicated, rejected, or conflicted when connectivity returns. Do not assume a change has reached the cloud until synchronization is confirmed. Check important records and maintain any additional backup required for your purposes.

A PDF is created only when you request an export. A PDF saved to Downloads/LendBook or another location you select is outside the App's encrypted storage. You are responsible for protecting, sharing, backing up, and deleting exported files. An export is a user-supplied record and is not proof of payment, a lender statement, or a legally binding account statement.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Lendbook for illegal, deceptive, predatory, discriminatory, or abusive lending or collection practices;
  • threaten, harass, shame, or impersonate another person;
  • upload information you have no right to use;
  • attempt to access another user's account or records;
  • interfere with, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass the App's security or service limits, except where law expressly permits;
  • distribute malware or use automated methods that unreasonably burden the service; or
  • misrepresent Lendbook as a lender, loan approval service, payment service, or government-authorized collection tool.

9. Intellectual property and licence

Lendbook and its software, design, branding, and content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable law. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the App for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership rights to you.

You retain rights in the ledger information you enter. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, synchronize, and display it solely to operate, secure, and improve Lendbook and comply with law.

10. Third-party services

Lendbook relies on services such as Google sign-in, Supabase cloud infrastructure, Firebase diagnostics, and messaging apps. We do not control their independent actions, availability, policies, or content. Their terms may also apply to you.

11. Alpha and pre-release versions

An alpha, beta, or other pre-release version may contain unfinished features, errors, or changes that cause interruptions or data loss. Access may be limited or withdrawn at any time. Do not rely on a pre-release build as the only copy of important financial or legal records.

12. Availability and changes to the App

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, introduce reasonable limits, or perform maintenance. We do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device, successful synchronization, or correction of every error.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lendbook is provided "as is" and "as available" without express or implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, availability, or data preservation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shivanshika Innovations will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of records, failed reminders, lending losses, disputes, or reliance on calculations.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability arising from Lendbook will be limited to the amount you paid us for the App during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law if you paid nothing. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

15. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using Lendbook at any time and may request account deletion through the App, the account-deletion page linked from Google Play, or the contact email below.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law, investigate abuse, or address a material breach. Where practical and lawful, we will provide notice.

Provisions that should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions—will remain in effect.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Lendbook and its service providers process information. It forms part of your understanding of the App but is not a waiver of rights provided by law.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms when App functionality, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice through the App or store listing.

Continuing to use Lendbook after revised Terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the App.

18. Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without limiting mandatory rights available under applicable consumer or other law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts determined under applicable law.

If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
