GoldWise is developed and managed by Shivanshika Innovations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the GoldWise mobile application.
GoldWise helps users view gold and silver rates, estimate jewellery bills, calculate value addition, plan gold purchases, and create price alerts.
2. Information We Collect
Most features in GoldWise can be used without creating an account or signing in.
Information collected when you use the app without sign-in
- App usage data for analytics and improvement.
- Crash and diagnostic data to improve app stability.
- Device-related technical information such as app version, device model, operating system version, and performance data.
Information collected when you use Google Sign-In for price alerts
- Name
- Email address
- Profile photo URL, if available
- Firebase Authentication user ID
- Price alert preferences created by you
- Firebase Cloud Messaging token for push notifications
Google Sign-In is optional and is required only for creating and managing price alerts across devices.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide gold and silver rate information stored in our backend.
- To allow users to create and manage price alerts.
- To send push notifications for gold or silver price alerts.
- To sync alerts across devices for signed-in users.
- To improve app performance, reliability, and user experience.
- To analyze app usage and identify crashes or technical issues.
4. Gold and Silver Rate Data
GoldWise does not call external gold or silver price APIs directly from the mobile app. Rate data is fetched by our backend services and stored in Firebase Firestore. The app reads already-stored rate and history data from Firestore.
Gold and silver prices displayed in the app are for informational purposes only and may differ from jewellery stores, city-wise retail prices, or market conditions. Users should verify final prices with their jeweller before making any purchase or sale decision.
5. Push Notifications
If you choose to use price alerts, GoldWise may request notification permission. This permission is requested only when you opt to create or enable alerts.
Push notifications are used to notify you when your selected gold or silver price alert condition is met. You can manage notification permissions from your device settings.
6. Third-Party Services
GoldWise uses third-party services to operate and improve the app. These may include:
- Firebase Authentication for Google Sign-In
- Firebase Firestore for storing rates, history, user profiles, and alerts
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- Firebase Analytics for app usage insights
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting

7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
Data may be processed by third-party service providers such as Firebase only for app functionality, analytics, notifications, authentication, and crash reporting.
8. Data Storage and Security
We use Firebase services to store and protect app data. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Account and Data Deletion
If you signed in with Google and created price alerts, you may request deletion of your stored user data, including your profile document, saved alerts, and notification tokens.

10. Children’s Privacy
GoldWise is intended for general users and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.
11. Financial Disclaimer
GoldWise provides calculators, rate information, and estimates for informational purposes only. The app does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or jewellery valuation advice.
Jewellery bills may vary based on jeweller pricing, purity, making charges, value addition, wastage, stones, taxes, local market conditions, and other factors. Always verify final prices and charges with your jeweller.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
Continued use of GoldWise after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
